      Switch from dev to prod - UVdesk

      After all system work, is suggested to move from the dev mode to the prod mode.
      this for better security and for disable the debug bar and error logs to be printed in the user public pages.

      You need change from dev to prod in the .env file present in the root UVdesk directoy.
      The file may be an hidden file so, in the case you don't see, you have to enable in your FTP program to see hidden files.

      Open the .env file tan change dev to prod

      APP_ENV= dev

      to

      APP_ENV= prod

      than clear cache from the operator Dasboard (icon on right bottom) or by running the following command on the SSH root directoy with the SSH user profile (not root profile):

      php bin/console c:c

      @vipin I applied the patch but (don't know if is the patch that cause the issue) as customer I receive the custom email link in English and not Italian that is my default language.

      Customer click on the ticket number or receive the registration email and this have the link point to en language. Why if Italian should be the default for me?

      OK tested and seems is not your patch but the issue returned to be after one of your updates.

      Necessary steps specific to upgrading from an older version to the new version of UVdesk 1.0.16

      For this version, as encryption has been added on the saving of email account passwords, you may need enter as administrator than save again one by one every SMTP account (MailBox) (with valid credentials) and do the same for SwiftMailer accounts or you may have issue on ticket creation made by email and with email sending.

      At the moment you may need update also the translations folder manually, the folder is in the root of the UVdesk installation.

      I don't know how to help. UVdesk load the basic Knowledge page when you load the main address.
      You want redirect this to the customer login page? Maybe in this case you can see if you can manage your hosting to do a redirect but should be ok simply use UVdesk as is. Seems you are asking a customization so I cannot help with that. Maybe you can try to wait a UVdesk team reply but again, seems you are asking for a customization...

      If you run an help desk system is normal that the main page will be the main page of the Help desk system.

      If when you load yourhelpdeskdomain.ext want load yourhelpdeskdomain.ext/member/login you need put a redirect on your hosting.

      On Apache you should be able to do this with a redirect. you can search how on Google.
      "redirect with htaccess" or some panel do allow do this by using the web interface.

      Yes, exactly it is use for manually apply action on ticket.
      It is same as like workflow.

      But the difference is Workflow executes on a event automatically but you can apply prepared response on a ticket manually (by clicking on particular prepared response).

      Yes, you can block ticket conversion from your mailbox into ticket by simply using spam setting and add those emails or domains into block list and ticket will not create for that particular email domains or email id.

      Seems you have not understood how UVdesk need to be installed.

      Did you read carefully the link I give to you?
      You can choose to install UVdesk by FTP by uploading all the files and not only the public folder than you need follow the post instruction to understand how to point to the public folder without the public folder is showed in the URL.

      UVdesk can be also installed by SSH and how is explained in the link given to you.

      There are many packages which is used with this project and current version of symfony used here is 4.3 .

      If we upgrade it to 5.3 we need to make a compatibility test with each part of project and dependent packages and need to update many things in code as well to make compatibility between packages and the process will take much time for upgrading the version.

      So currently we are not focusing on this part but in future we will check accordingly.
