      Also if you are using gmail you need to enable less secure app for gmail to use IMAP.

      I don't suggest to customers to enable in Gmail less secure apps.

      As the Google guide say

      less secure apps can make your account more vulnerable

      Instead of enable this that for security, on my opinion is better use the two factor authentication than generate and use in UVdesk a specific password for app.

      Security, should be the priority.
      If you allow less secure apps means you have no good Google security settings and your account may be vulnerable for hacker but also if you forget the password or try to login from a new device. You can be locked out of your account.

      @parvinder I don't suggest to keep less secure app active in your Google account.
      I also suggest to have always the 2 step active and to be sure to have full recovery info always updated on your account, not just the recovery email.

      @Sanjeev Thank you for your help. Really looking forward upgrade to the next version. The current swiftmailer only accept email as a username, I need to modify swiftmailer.yaml to make SendGrid working. It's a little bit difficult for the common user.

      @leedsy90 do you have email configured on swiftmailer and also mailbox?
      Two screenshots of this two pages can help.. I suggest to cover / hide from the screenshot the first part of the email before the @ .

      If you use Gmail you will need maybe activate the two steps. Before activate the two step be sure you have full and update recovery options: email and phone number as described here.

      Also, once you activate the two steps, generate and save recovery backup codes in a safe place where no one can access.

      Once you done all this steps you will need generate a specific app password than use that password in UVdesk when you configure the email address instead use the Google account password.

      Be sure also to not use wrong SSH command.

      In the future UVdesk team can create a clear cache button in operator side so this will be useful for users that cannot clear cache by SSH. I know another Open Source project that has done this πŸ™‚

      nstructions on previous messages say to replace dev with prod not to add APP_ENV=prod so you just replaced I hope. Be sure to do not create duplicate lines in the .env file.

      I put a # before APP_ENV=dev the line and added a new line APP_ENV=prod . I think that makes it a comment. This seemed to work and I was able to create a few users but them my VM froze.

      When you run php bin/console c:c as root account this can create issues. The command should be run not as root but as normal SSH user.

      I was a normal user, no sudo

      The user I am logged in to is part of the www-data group but I see permission in the /var/www/uvdesk/var/cache/* dir are read only for group and other

      drwxr-xr-x # www-data www-data 4096 Feb 19 00:22 dev/ drwxr-xr-x # www-data www-data 4096 Mar 3 18:46 prod/

      The garbage can is on the home page but it was blocked by the dev black line on the bottom. There's only a hint of the top of the can that is visable but I saw you can shrink that dev line to just an icon by clicking on the x

      Alright, thanks for the update here. Let us know, your smtp outlook email is a micorosoft 365 email business or normal outlook email. If you are using the microsoft 365 business email then for this setup we have added few changes for modern auth.
      So you will be setup with the v-1.2.0 version of uvdesk using the below command:

      $ composer create-project uvdesk/community-skeleton:dev-master;

      I noticed in more than one post you included full email address and want just reminder this is a public community so that address can be used by bot to send spam. To protect you from spam or scam emails I suggest to not post full email address in public community or web pages.

      It is basically default property of a framework.
      The actions you perform on daily bases symfony create a cache for that so that it will fetch data from store cache data and logs and other things is part of this.

      Yes you can delete cache folder as well it and it will again create for you.

      put /index.php at the end of URL after public and check if it works.

      Also try below method.

      Open your .htaccess file under public folder of your project and add some random text at the top and save your file.

      Now try to access your project.

      Case 1:

      If you are getting 500 Internal server error after adding a random text in .htaccess file.

      It means it is working.

      Case 2:

      If you are still able to access public path of project which meansΒ  .htaccess it is not working yet.

      so you need to enable it.

      Open yourΒ apache2.conf file and Allow overwrite All.

      <Directory /home/users/www>
      Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
      AllowOverride All
      Require all granted

      here.

      Now also you need to run two below commands for enabling mod rewrite rule.

      a2enmod rewrite
      service apache2 restart

      I'm closing this as resolved.
      Maybe if in the future this feature will be useful someone can request on GitHub.
      For now there are issue with major priority like bug resolution and basic function implementation.

      Can I write reports or am I getting confused with another product.
