    • RE: Emailing via X-Swift-To Seems to be flaky

      I tried another SMTP providers other than Purelymail.com -- migadu.com for example. The problem is the same: X-Swift-To does NOT get delivered.

      Only gmail connection (not SMTP) seems to be working. I wish there was a solution for this, as having a support desk where the email is from "gmail.com" is really not professional

    • Emailing via X-Swift-To Seems to be flaky

      I setup the Swift Mailer using an SMTP setup at purelymail.com and that is working fine.

      However, I notice that quite often the email is being sent to the "To:" email but quite a lot of time it does not go to the X-Swift-To address

      Can you help please? See a copy of the header.

      At the bottom, I noticed the X-Swift-To but it is not reaching there! !

    • RE: Forgot password seems to directly set a new password. This flow, if happens, is wrong!

      @sabufrancis

      Sorry, I think it was my mistake. I was trying to reset for a member but was then sending forgot password for the support guest (or at least that is what I think!)

    • Forgot password seems to directly set a new password. This flow, if happens, is wrong!

      Unable to use old password after I send "forgot password" -- I suspect, the "forgot password" is directly changing the current password. So this does not cater to a situation where I send "forgot password" and then I suddenly remember the password and therefore want to use the older password itself.

      The problem I faced is that there is an additional issue in my installation: It actually does not send an email for forgot password (That's a separate thread of investigation) so I now am completely locked out! I suspect this is what happened; in sequence:

      1. I thought I had forgotten the password, so I initiated the "forgot password"
      2. Internally, it reset the password and attempted to send me an email which I did not get
      3. I remembered the old password, but I can no longer login because the password actually has been reset
      4. I am totally stuck as I never received the "forgot password" email!!
