As a personal trainer, one of the biggest things I hear clients complain about is feeling overwhelmed with the constant demand for more training and accountability activities. Instead, it would be more beneficial to have a positive mindset which is what cognitive behavioral therapists refer to as the Coaching Motivation. Having this mindset makes it easy to say "no" to others and take a back seat to the demands of life. Rather, you'd want to be able to say "yes" to the requests and take them one at a time. Instead, you should strive to develop what behavioral psychotherapists call automatic positive thinking.
There are several major advantages to having a positive mindset. First of all, it builds self-confidence and self-esteem. People who have low self-esteem tend to procrastinate and under-achieve at work. By contrast, people who are consistently positive thinkers see the world in a much more positive way and their results improve accordingly.
