During the configuration of the Smart connect in a Tp-link range extender, a user has to make sure that the SSID name used by both the frequency bands should be different to recognize the band with which you are currently connected. Smart connect feature won’t work if the SSID names of both the Wi-fi bands of your extender will be same. Smart connect is enabled by default and can be configured through the web interface of your tplinkrepeater.net.
